Q:  There is so much information out there I'm not sure where to
start.  What would you suggest?
A:
As a Builder for many years it is our recommendation to have
prospective clients  get pre-qualified for a loan.  This way as a potential
home owner you know what you can afford and are not shopping out of
your price range
.

Q:  I have heard that modular homes are stronger.  Is that really
true?
A:
Actually modular homes are built stronger than an on-site built home,
as much as 25% stronger.  FEMA confirmed that off site constructed
homes withstand hurricane force winds better than on-site built homes.
Drywall is glued and screwed to wall studs and triple headers are used
above window openings and stairs to withstand transportation and being
lifted by a crane. These homes not only have to withstand the wind
pressure of a 70 mile an hour truck going down the road, but for every
100 miles of road traveled, these homes withstand the same stress as an
on-site stick built house going  through  a 17 second earthquake with a
6.2 magnitude rating.

Q:  Do modular homes meet State and Regional Code
requirements?
A:
Modular construction is preformed in a climate controlled facility with
materials protected from the elements. The design and construction of all
off-site constructed homes are monitored through Housing and Building
Technology (HBT), and by the State Bureau of Manufactured Housing
Construction, insuring the highest quality and safety standards. Modular
Home construction standards meet or exceed local and state building
codes.

Q:  Do I get what I pay for and do I have to worry about a modular
house appraising for less?
A:
You get more than what you pay for your home.  Modular homes
appraise just  like on-site stick built homes.  They follow the same building
specifications and codes.  Modular homes are also “stick built”,  just not
"stick built" on your building site.  This saves you time and money.  While
your excavation is being done your home is being stick built in a climate
controlled environment.

Q:  Does modular construction offer custom homes?
A
:  There are no limitations  when it comes to Custom Modular built
homes.  Customers who want high-quality finishes as well as high-quality
construction increasingly understand that they can get both with a
modular home. My Builders Inc. offers two free designs for prospective
clients. Every Custom Home is built in a controlled manufacturing
environment using only top quality brand name building materials. All
homes are built to comply with all applicable building and energy codes.
Our modular homes are built to a higher standard than conventional site
built homes. Our  homes are built to a higher level of precision and are
more readily "Green" compliant than homes built on site.
Q:  Can  I  see one of these modular homes being built and one that is
completed?
A:
Yes.  We take prospective clients to the factory to see the building
process.  We  also have completed homes that  you can walk through and
talk to the home owners to gain first hand information on the modular home.

Q:  Is it possible to do geothermal in a modular home?
A:
Absolutely. The  possibilities are endless with modular building.
