NOW IS THE TIME FOR OFF-SITE CONSTRUCTED HOMES
BUILT BETTER: Off-site constructed homes are built in an enclosed
environment protecting materials from the elements. FEMA
confirmed that off site constructed homes withstand hurricane force
winds better that on-site built homes. Drywall is glued and screwed to
wall studs and triple headers are used above window openings and
stairs to withstand transportation and being lifted by a crane.
These homes not only have to withstand the wind pressure of a 70
mile an hour truck going down the road, but for every 100 miles of
road traveled, these homes withstand the same stress an on-site stick
built house goes through in a 17 second earthquake with a 6.2
magnitude rating.
BUILT STRONGER: .Off-site constructed homes not only match the
strength of on-site built homes, but actually exceeds them by as much
as 25%.
• Off-site -built homes meet criteria based on the highest wind safety
standard of them all, known as ASCE 7-88. Site-built homes must
conform only to state or local requirements for strength and wind-
resistance.
• The design and construction of all off-site constructed homes are
monitored through Housing and Building Technology (HBT), and by
the State Bureau of Manufactured Housing Construction, insuring the
highest quality and safety standards. You don't get this assurance
with any on-site built homes.
BUILT FASTER: The off-site constructed home is built exactly to plan
utilizing state of the art technology to construct the home. This
reduces building time and reduces material waste. Off-site
constructed homes can be built in as little as two weeks and ready for
your home site. The time to finish the home is faster and less money
is spent on interest payments. This gets you into your home paying a
mortgage sooner and building equity faster.

Once a potential homeowner has decided to go with an Off-Site constructed home there are a few steps to take that are relatively consistent.
The homeowner must choose a floor plan and select from a wide range of standard or optional features. When these decisions have been made and
a contract is signed, the engineering staff submit the plans and the factory can go to work on constructing the home.
Once the manufacturer has begun building the home in the factory, it is usually just a matter of weeks before the units are ready for transport. As the
work in the factory is taking place, on-site construction of the home's foundation by My Builders Inc. is being done to ready the site for the arrival of
the home. The Superior Wall Foundation System is delivered and set as the home is being built in the factory. The overall construction time is
dramatically reduced.
The off-site constructed home is then shipped to the site on special carriers. The units are then placed by crane onto the foundation, and the entire
home is secured together. Completion time for off-site built homes can be anywhere from a couple weeks for simple designs to 90 days for custom
jobs. The average completion time from initial order to move-in is roughly three months. Compare this to an average completion time of about six
months to a year for an on-site-built home.
